This past weekend we made an excursion to Daiso over in Richmond. Daiso is a Japanese 100 yen store chain and this location marks the company’s first foray into the Canadian market. With the exception of some food products, every item in the store costs $2 (or “toonie” as our two dollar coin is dubbed). Undeniably the best part was the discovery of doll accessories and items that could be potentially utilized for the little people!

I bought a wooden box (the type used for displaying miniatures) with the intention of turning it into a bookcase. Also bought some wooden mini tables for which I need chairs badly! Will probably make those. Spotted some mini clear plastic containers with opening drawers that could work for a bedside table. And much to my delirious delight, there were mini tea sets in a number of designs. I’ve been scouring ebay since last year looking for an afforadable ceramic set that would be suitable for 1/6th use. Finally I found some locally and inexpensive to boot! Wheeee!! I can foresee more of my pennies, er toonies, going to Daiso’s coffers in the future. >XD
Oh yes…they also had this brand of false lashes in a few styles. Those look fun. Too bad I dun have any larger dolls to try them on. :B
