Ok, construction on the mini garden is postponed for the time being. Good thing no live plants are involved or they’d be dead by now. The weather’s just been awful (read: wet and cold) so I can’t go outside to hack at the dry foam as planned. Boooo, I wanted to make walls and structures. :/

Instead I’m making dolly jewelry. My fingers hurt from working with wire and puny jump rings. I dunno how many of those things I dropped and lost on the carpet. =_=;; But I enjoy making stuff, so the pain is worth it in this case. ^^ I even enjoy hunting down supplies, although it’s not easy finding the smaller beads I need. But methinks it’d be an even more serious affliction if I were the jewelry-wearing type…

Made these little plants a while ago. They’re supposed to be for the doll garden but I kinda like them where they are right now, atop the monitor.

So yeah, am still alive. Been feeling unwell in the last while so I’ve had major catching up to do with coursework. But am trying to squeeze in time whenever possible for dollies…

In other news, we have a new macro lens on the way. W00t! Hope it’ll be an improvement over the current crappy lens.

Here’s some incomplete stuff I’ve been working on during the past month. The SH11 girl is “Aprikot” (intentionally misspelled) — her hair is the exact colour of apricot jam. ^^ This head mold isn’t one of my faves but it may just grow on me… Haven’t decided on the character/personality for the DP2 head. Depends on what wig I have available. Making elf ears is hard, even on the fourth or fifth time around.

My Imagemagick/thumbnail problem remains unresolved. The webhost suggested that I install the Perl module myself. Pfffftt. It was preinstalled and running on the server before the move! Bah, if I can’t figure out it out, I’ll have to ask them for the third time to install it. ~_~

Got lots to do today. After lunch I gotta zip over to the bookstore for texts and supplies. Hope there won’t be a huge lineup! Also in dire need of wintry wear..hate shopping for clothes here (I’ve been spoiled by shopping in China..less $$$ and clothes that actually fit!). Will try to stop by the art store for supplies. I need new brushes. The current ones are still useable but offers a less than pleasant painting experience. My order of brushes must’ve disappeared over the Pacific Ocean by now. =v=;
And if there’s time I’ll bake some brownies. Just because.
