Lo! What is that in the sky? Why, tis the sun!!
We had a rare bit of sunshine today..and that meant photo op! Anyway, this was my first time painting on resin…truth be told, it was a struggle. Without further ado, here is “???”!

This last one’s for Armeleia! She sent these pants a while back but ??? didn’t have a chance to show them off until recently…they’re a perfect fit!

Yeaaaaaay~~ Jerome head arrived safe and sound. My first thought was..”The head is so small!” It fits comfortably in the palm of my hand. The sculpt is wonderfully done. I think I like him even more in person. And I love his ears…the details and the crisp contours. *_* His mouth…I hadn’t realize till now that they resemble my own. With the little frown and all. *lol* He doesn’t have a metal ID plate on his head like I’ve seen on SDs, but inside his head cap has the words “Tiny Fairy Jerome” carved in a charming font.

To my pleasant surprise, the seller was kind enough to send along a lovely wine red wig! *o* So that’s one less thing to worry about. (Hehe, I thought the box was rather cute so included that in the pic..must’ve been from when Ajumapama were still selling Blue Fairy dolls.)

Photo was taken with a new lens, a Nikkor 18-70mm. I’m struggling a bit with focusing but not as much problem as I’m having with the Nikkor 60mm micro/macro lens. Ugh, time to pull out “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Photography”.

Just when I was done waffling (for months) about which BJD I’d want, more lovely choices enter the picture in the form of Ajumapama‘s Blue Fairies. The first thing that struck me about these dolls were how similar the faces are to Angelregion’s Little Fair dolls, especially the eyes and mouths. The bodies appear to be the same too. Perhaps it was the same sculptor?? Does anyone know? I can’t find much information on BF. I had my heart set on getting a LF anyway. But I know I won’t have the funds in time for a BF preorder, plus I would like to get a kit rather than a finished doll (hey, I like to mess with things..hehe). But I like the boy very, VERY much. T__T Argghgh…it’s a several hundred dollar commitment…so need to make a careful decision.
Oh my, maybe it’s all just wishful thinking. Maybe I’ll never get an BJD if I can’t stop buying 1/6th stuff. Gaaaah, am doomed to 1/6! Doooooomed! XD
