After being down for about 24 hours (?), my webhost managed to get all their servers back online again. The culprit? Blame Hurricane Wilma. Or the datacenter people. Apparently the datacenter, which is located in Florida, is supposed to be able to withstand up to category 5 hurricanes. However they lost power due to the storm and to make things worse, the backup generators failed to start up.

Ugh, I had a bad feeling about it when the host decided to move to a datacenter in a hurricane-prone area. Regardless of this we’re still going ahead with changing webhost. So far Lunarpages looks the most promising, but I’m waiting to hear back from them whether they’ll allow Movable Type on their servers or not.

..since the last post? ^^;; Oops. Guess I got a little lazy there. During this time, I got a new job, and although the pay is decent, it leaves me physically drained at the end of the day. Most days when I come home, all I want is a quick meal and go straight to bed. Rinse and repeat. Too tired and sore to do much else. =_= Unfortunately this means all my doll projects have been unexpectedly put on hold, probably until the end of the month. But we’ll see..

Recently I did a Bad Thing. Bad because it was not my intention to adopt another BJD this year. I’ve been wanting a girl BJD for a while but waffled over where I really needed one or not. I allowed myself to buy wigs and shoes “just in case” and plotted in my head all the cute outfits to make for a future girl (and if it didn’t work out I’d crossdress my boy to tide me over XD). And finally along comes a doll I’m smitten with and could afford. ^_^; It’ll be a month or so until she’s ready..I’m sure the time will just fly by!
